My Mission...for now

My oh my how things change in what you "expected" life to be like.  I thought for sure when I became a mommy that I would do all the mommy things and go...go...go.  Samuel has changed that for me.  Samuel LOVES his mommy.  So much so that I cannot go...go...go unless he is attached to my hip (or he has to at least be able to see me).  He is 21 months now and I can count on one hand how many times I have been able to leave him in the nursery at church without being paged because he is crying.  At first, this really bothered me.  I felt like he was causing me not to be able to do the mommy things I thought I should do.  But now I realize that Samuel (and Elly) are the mission I am called to by God at this time.  I am called to be the best mommy I can be.  For now, that means not always getting "me" time or getting to enjoy some things because my child needs me.  Who knows why the Lord has given me a child that does not adjust well to situations that I am not in.  I don't know, but I do know that I serve a God that is in the smallest of details...even this detail.  I know that He knows what is best for me!  This is the mission I have been "assigned" to now and I have decided to accept this mission with JOY and enJOY it!
